Service Terms & Booking Conditions


1. Scope of Services

Kanazawa Experience provides private, small-group cultural tours and guided experiences in Kanazawa and surrounding areas.

Services may include:

  • English-speaking guide services

  • Personalized itineraries

  • Cultural activities arranged with third-party providers (e.g., temples, artisans, cultural hosts)

  • Incidental transportation as part of the guided experience

Transportation is provided solely as an incidental component of the guided cultural experience.
No separate transportation fare is charged.

Kanazawa Experience does not operate as a transportation company under the Japanese Road Transport Act.


2. Pricing & Payment

Tour pricing varies depending on:

  • Duration of the tour

  • Number of participants

  • Selected cultural experiences

  • Third-party reservation costs

  • Special arrangements or seasonal factors

Detailed pricing is provided on each individual tour page and/or communicated at the time of inquiry.

The price confirmed at the time of booking confirmation shall be binding.

Payments are processed securely via Stripe or authorized booking platforms.

Full payment or a required deposit must be completed prior to the confirmed tour date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.


3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation conditions depend on the nature of the tour.

A. Standard Tours

For tours that do not require advance third-party reservations, cancellation is generally permitted up to a reasonable period before the scheduled start time.

Specific deadlines and conditions will be indicated at the time of booking.


B. Custom or Pre-Reserved Cultural Experiences

Certain tours require advance reservations with temples, cultural providers, artisans, or other third parties.

For these tours, cancellation conditions may differ and may include partial or full non-refundable charges depending on:

  • The timing of cancellation

  • Commitments made to third-party providers

  • Costs already incurred on your behalf

The specific cancellation terms applicable to your booking will be clearly communicated at the time of booking confirmation.
Those confirmed terms shall prevail.


4. Refund Policy

Where a refund is applicable:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

  • Processing time typically requires 5–10 business days

  • Payment processing fees, currency conversion fees, or third-party transaction charges may be non-refundable

If a tour cannot be conducted due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters

  • Severe weather

  • Government restrictions

  • Operational impossibility

We will offer either rescheduling or a refund, depending on the situation.


5. Service Modifications

Requests to modify tour dates, times, or content are subject to availability.

Additional charges may apply where modifications require:

  • New third-party reservations

  • Extended service hours

  • Additional arrangements


6. Service-Specific Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Kanazawa Experience shall not be liable for:

  • Weather-related disruptions

  • Delays beyond our reasonable control

  • Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings

  • Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability arising from a booked service shall not exceed the total amount paid for that specific service, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Guests are responsible for ensuring that their physical condition is suitable for participation in selected activities.

Any accessibility needs or special conditions must be communicated in advance.


7. Privacy & Data Handling (Service Context)

We collect personal information necessary to provide our services, including:

  • Name

  • Contact details

  • Booking information

Payments are processed securely via Stripe or authorized booking platforms.
We do not directly store full credit card details.

We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to improve website performance.

Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data by contacting us.

This site complies with applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR where applicable.
